Seminar about Gaming Tools & Big Data.
As a part of Bangladesh Internet Week, BASIS with association of Ministry of ICT and Grameenphone, organized a seminar about gaming tools and big data at Institute of Science & Technology. For this 2 hour longer session, the resource persons were,
For Gaming Tools,

There were more than 100 students who attended in this session.
In the session of Gaming tools, Mr. Hasan Mahmud talked about mobile gaming business all around the world. He gave some references about the leading mobile games which earned a huge amount of revenue. Then he explained the present market of mobile (Android & IOS) in Bangladesh. There he mentioned some leading game developer teams in Bangladesh who are presently working on developing games and catch the gaming market. Then Mr. Mahmud talked about the way to become an entrepreneur in the game industry. He gave some ideas about opening a game studio, with how to make a team, be passionate on game developing and be successful.
In the end, as a former employee of Playdom Bangladesh LTD., AKA Disney games, he shared some of his work experience with the students to make them understood about the process and situation of a game industry.
The second part of the session was about Big Data. As a director of a leading Data management company in Bangladesh, Mr. Marjur first gave the students some ideas about the present requirement of Big Data and Big Data analyst in Bangladesh as well as all over the world. Then he gave a detailed brief about Big Data and the structure of Big Data. He also added some example about how big data works, which organizations or companies are generating huge amount of big data, the advantages and disadvantages of big data etc. There was a small question and answer session with him about the big data topic.
In the end of every session, the resource persons were honored with crests by the organizers of this seminar. After the session, student’s feedback was pretty good and they were pleased and satisfied with this session. Students demanded more sessions like this to know about the more gaming tools, big data and this type of IT related topics.
